I’m currently a teaching assistant at the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies (DCTI) at the Higher Institute of Social and Business Studies (ISCTE), in Lisbon, Portugal.

I'm also a researcher at Adetti.

PhD on Performance Management of Higher Education Degrees

The Decision Support Systems for University Effectiveness and Efficiency project, with the acronym DSS-UEE, is a research project developed at the Department of Information Sciences and Technologies (DCTI) of ISCTE.

The main objective of this project is the specification and implementation of a generic Decision Support System architecture to assist the academic stakeholders in their daily job decisions towards the fulfillment of the University long-term decisions or planned goals. The idea is to inspire
change by implementing Business Intelligence technologies of proven utility, which will guide the University into a new culture of self-assessment and self-effectiveness.

My PhD thesis is focused on the development of an integrated Performance Management framework for Higher Education degrees, integrating the topics of Corporate Performance Management (Balanced Scorecard) and Business Process Management. The generic framework will be validated in a case study concerning the performance management of a graduate degree in Integrated Decision Support Systems (MSIAD).
