ISCTE's bachelor programs span three main ares: Management Sciences, Social Sciences, and Technological Sciences.

ISCTE has consistently promoted the growth and improvement of its bachelor programs, always paying close attention to the evolution of higher education in Portugal and abroad, and to the employment market conditions and trends. It offers a broad range of programs – a total of 16 programs –, giving the highest priority to the quality of the education offered.

Most bachelor programs are structured around the major plus minor concepts. They are also fully compliant with the Bologna Declaration, with the sole exception of Architecture, which from academic year 2007/2008 on will offer an integrated five year bachelor and master program.

In portuguese parlance, the Bologna style bachelor degree corresponds to a "licenciatura" (which previously required from four to five years to complete), the master degree corresponds to a "mestrado", and the doctoral degree corresponds to a "doutoramento".
